Nintendo Switch ESHOP servers block Christmas day
The servers that feed the Shop of Nintendo Switch and its other online components have crashed for some on this Christmas day. Nintendo warned at the beginning of the week that I expected the servers running the switch platform had problems during the last weekend the number of people who would probably seek to connect to the network. Unfortunately, that Nintendo theory proved to be quite accurate, which means that many new Switch owners have not been able to connect their Internet console today.
Nintendo itself ended up resorting to Twitter this morning to inform Switch owners that the Shop, in particular, does not work at all for some people. In light of these problems, Nintendo said he was currently looking for a solution. We are aware that players are experiencing errors when accessing Nintendo Shop, and we are working to solve the problem as soon as possible, Nintendo explained. Thanks for your understanding. It is worth noting that your mileage may vary with regard to your ability to connect to the Nintendo Switch SHOP throughout today. Even though many Switch owners seem to be experiencing these problems, others could connect without much interference. At the end of the day, the problem here is that there are so many new switch owners who seek to create Nintendo accounts at the same time, which has caused Nintendo itself to be overwhelmed.
And although Nintendo Switch users are likely to be the main ones that meet these server problems today, those of Nintendo 3DS and even Nintendo Wii U platforms can have the same problems. Because the SHOP is connected to all these platforms, although in different ways, the problems could still penetrate all the hardware pieces. However, hopefully, Nintendo will find a solution to all this in a short time.
Are you someone who has experienced these server problems today with its own Nintendo platform? And has the stability of the SHOP has improved throughout the day? Let me know in the comments or contact me on Twitter in @ Mooreman12.
